Warm up:
- Arrange and ask - Are more ducks on pond or grass?
Fewer ducks on grass or on pond etc
- Various numbers in and out of pond - Count how many
in/out/ altogether
Thinking:
- Predict, if (n) ducks leave pond how many will be
left on pond? Operate and check answers.
- Tell me how many ducks to take out of the pond to
have (n) ducks left on the pond
- Arrange ducks - Ask the difference between the number
of ducks on the grass and the number on the pond
Puzzle:
- Can you work out how many different ways there can
be more ducks on the pond than on the grass?
